Happy 100th Birthday Scouting!

Now that James is 8, he is a cub scout. I'm still figuring the whole "scout thing" out, but it's been fun so far. This week is the 100th anniversary of scouting and his den had a party. He received two belt loops and he made a collage with pictures of his 100 favorite things. Some of the 100 things: his family, friends, scouts, Reeses peanut butter cups, playing dominoes, guitar, art, pancakes, scorpions . . . and many more!
Jake is also serving in the Young Mens and in Scouting and I have a lot of respect for those who serve in scouting. It's a lot of effort, but the boys sure love it!

Look how old James is! I can't believe he is doing scouts. And Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are one of my top favorite things too!

Great tribute to scouts! Our neighbor just finished his eagle scout project and it was raising $45,000 for a statue of a scout that was placed behind the WX City building this week to commemorate the 100th. It is cool. He paid $3,500 out of his own pocket and he is only 15 or 16--great kid. Anyhow, good for James!

WOW! Can't believe James is old enough for Scouts- how exciting! That is so great that he is enjoying it and doing so well earning belt loops. How fun- yay James!
